It’s pod time!!!!!!!
Yes archery deer going, early goose, here comes pheasant but also - the Milkweed is a popping, yipee.
Time for walkarounds to move & spread all the seeds, hunting for knocked over fluff balls that just need a lil help to fly & moving the seeds so areas not yet thriving, still get on property seeds for spring (along with culling for our customers & plant starting in the spring)

Milkweed stalks are fun to decorate with too - and then passing vehicles can help with a breeze to spread the seed as the pods dry out - just check for caterpillars first & go for almost dry so they’ll finish out & seed.

Also, great time to get digging out / damage invasive plants.
I L💙VE a good dig out & anything that shouldn't be here, I like to get after in the fall so the buggies & fungus among us can get to work making it a little harder on them in the spring & a little less competition for establishing & new ads.
AND don’t forget - mark your fall plants for spring establishment watering now. Hopefully we’ll get plenty of white gold this winter, next springs water coming to hang out early, but just in case - I like to use colorful stakes I got from Gardeners awhile back. They have a strait & a curly Q part so can be used as 2 or together as cheerful snow-line marks.

Happy harvest, weed, seed, feed & final plant time.
Headed for roots that’ll bring fruits,
Kristin & the critter crew
