Going to be a Pretty Week!

I (luckily for us all) had a customer who wanted to up her perennial power, in a larger & very specific way. So… to a wholesaler I got to go!
I’m always torn between the growth of plant I can offer from another more established grower & the price points and guarantee I can give on my babies.

However - nature waits for no one & these roots are ready to grow for it! (Yes - I check every single set).
I take comfort knowing: next years babies from the total business restart are looking strong & more growing for it now means less wholesale runs in future years. Perennials just take the time they need - can’t rush them.
AND - if I get to go, pickup from Chad is always amazing:

One of the few that carry old school broad leaf hydrangeas that can be used as in ground growing soil testers & super supportive of my itty bitty business growing for my fruit “field of dreams” mission in life.
Plus his coneflower is always the happiest I see, anywhere.
The swelter weather has made some of the root check, clean up & get ready for town work fun.
Since it’s a lil warm these days, I’m on the old ‘when I worked in emergency communications’ split shift life: napping thru the heat & raccoon hours overnight. 😂
It takes what it takes to turn a farm right?

Always worth the work.
Plus = late night means more wild critter neighbor noises & less vehicle noise. Very peaceful thru the mosquito buzzing 😂☺️.
See you in the Park & at Canby and Hendricks Markets. This week’s offerings will include larger phlox & cone flower options for $14-$16.
They are going to go quick - but hopefully I’ll get to do a few more very specific runs, to make sure we all get what we wanted growing this season.
If you would like to pre-order anything for next week, let me know. I have NOT seen iris options folks were looking for yet.
I may be able to source more phlox colors but, they are only available in larger sizes that would run about $20-$22 each.
I can absolutely get us more of Chad’s beautiful cone flowers if everyone loves the sombrero’s as much as I do.
Happy Monday!
Don’t melt - there are 60’s in the lows out there someday soonish 😂 🤞🏻 ☺️
